An East Derry MLA says any profit made by NI Water should be used to improve water infrastructure, particularly in areas where flooding is a recurrent problem.
John Dallat is calling on NI Water to come up with a long-term strategy to improve drainage and sewerage systems.
He says the fact that such a strategy isn’t already in place demonstrates the absence of any serious long-term planning, and people will be aghast that money may now just go back to the Department….
