Bonfires go ahead in Derry with no incidents reported

A number of August 15th bonfires went ahead last night in Derry, but no incidents have been reported. There were fires in Creggan and Gobnascale, as well as Galliagh, where a three day festival began on Monday in a bid to stop the fire.

Earlier efforts to remove bonfire materials in the Galliagh area led to rioting in Moss Park.

The fire service says there were "minimal" call outs.
