More petrol bombs thrown in Derry

Ten petrol bombs were thrown in the Bogside area of Derry last night with children as young as seven reported to be present in the area at the time.
There were a total of ten arrests in Derry over the weekend after the annual Apprentice Boys August parade passed off without major incident on Saturday.
Six of the arrests happened in the city during the afternoon, while on Saturday night, four people were arrested after a number of incidents including petrol bombs being thrown on Lecky Road and in the Bogside.
Meanwhile, a three day festival gets underway in the Galliagh area of Derry today in a bid to avoid further rioting around Moss Park. The festival is intended to replace the annual August bonfire following concerns from residents.
