Salmon fishing season extended due to bad weather

The salmon fishing season on two Donegal rivers has been extended due to poor weather and floods.
In a statement released today, it was announced the annual closed season for salmon and sea trout using a draft net, which came into operation yesterday, is to be extended until midnight on the 14th August in a small number of waters around the country – including on the Owenea/Owentocker and Gweebarra rivers in Letterkenny.
