FF reject Campbell’s claim that councillors will capitulate on cuts

Fianna Fail is reacting angrily to a suggestion from Cllr John Campbell that the party will capitulate if it comes to voting on cuts to reflect a 13% reduction in Donegal County Council’s funding from government.
SF and Cllr Campbell say the council shouldn’t do Phil Hogan’s dirty work, and should, if necessary, force him to appoint an administrator.
Responding, FF Cllr Seamus O’Domhnaill said to allow someone from outside Donegal to come in and run the council would not be in the best interests of the county and its people.
He also rejected outright any suggestion that councillors will act to save their positions rather than act in the best interests of the people of Donegal…..
