KFO boss backs Coveney’s “get tough” stance on Iceland and Faroes

The Killybegs Fishermens Organisation have expressed their full support for the position taken by Minister Simon Coveney at the Council of Ministers meeting yesterday in Brussels.
At the Meeting Minister Coveney called on the EU to withdraw the offer jointly made by the EU and Norway to Iceland and Faroes in February of this year to respectively allocate them a 7.5% and 8% share of the Total Allowable Catch.
He emphasised that both Iceland and Faroes should not be rewarded for their irresponsible behaviour.
KFO Chief Executive Sean O’Donaghue is backing Minister Coveney’s “get tough” stance.
