Orange Order members converge on Rossknowlagh for annual parade

Thousands of Orange Order members are travelling to Rossknowlagh today for the annual Orange Parade, the first major event on the Orange calendar since this week’s groundbreaking Seanad address by Grand Secretary Drew Nelson.
Mr Nelson said this week the order would like to march in Dublin, but for now, the annual Rossknowlagh march remains the biggest in the republic.
Mr Nelson this week said recent community initiatives, including the funding of improvements of Oranmge Halls by the Irish government have improved the situation for protestants in border areas. Five of those halls are in Donegal.
However, Drew Nelson said while this is welcome, border protestants still have significant concerns, nowhere more so than in the area of education…….
