After his exhoneration, Fr Eugene Boland speaks to Shaun Doherty

Moville born Fr Eugene Boland has been speaking of the trauma of being accused of indecent assault, the agony of the two year wait for a court case  and the joy of the not guilty verdit delivered yesterday at Derry Crown Court.

This morning, he gave a lengthy interview to Shaun Doherty about his ordeal.

He began by outlining his feelings as the verdict was announced.....

Fr Boland was asked about being excluded from ministry for over two years while the initial accusations were considered by the police and the CPS.

Fr Boland was asked about the wait for a verdict, particularly after the jury was sent home having initially failed to reach a verdict on Tuesday.
