Sinn Fein says more regular and accurate emigration figures must be provided

Sinn Fein in Donegal say government figures on emigration are incomplete, and need to be improved.
Donegal North East Deputy Padraig Mac Lochlainn has tabled a number of Dail questions on the issue, to be told that estimated figures are published once a year by the CSO, and there is no way of providing a county by county breakdown.
However, he argues that counties like Donegal are being devastated by emigration, and more must be done to document and respond to this ongoing crisis.
