Fresh threat to services at Cregg House in Sligo

Services at Cregg House in Sligo are in jeapordy after the religious order that runs the facility said last night it cannot bridge the gap in funding following government cutbacks.
The Daughters of Wisdom say they’re to withdraw services because of government cutbacks of 1.3 million euro at the facility which provides care, education and support for over 200 people with intellectual disabilities, many of them from Donegal.
The HSE says it understands funding difficulties at the centre, but insists cutbacks are in line with those other disability services in the region are faced with.
Senator Marc Mc Sharry says this requires national intervention………..
