Rallying – Donegal International Launched

The launch of the 2012 Donegal International Rally took place on Tuesday night in Letterkenny. The June 15th – 17th  event has attracted over 140 competitors from all over the country and further a field.  Once again the crews will be tackling 22 stages including two passes over the special Buncrana Town Stage on the Friday.
The rally is the only three day event in the country and after a survey in recent years it was the competitor’s who gave there view on why the event must stay as it is.

Number One seed and Irish Tarmac Championship leader Darren Gass will be first of the start ramp on Friday and it will be his first attempt at tackling the Donegal stages.

Gary Jennings is being tipped by some to take his maiden overall Donegal International win this year. Currently second in the Irish Tarmac Championship, Gary is stepping up to a Subaru wrc for the event, something the Fermanagh man is excited about.
