ICSA issues warning to farmers over gorse and forest fires

The Irish Cattle and Sheep Farmers’ Association is warning farmers of he serious implications to their livelihoods if fires they light go out of control.
Despite recent rainfall, the ground remains relatively dry and further dry weather is being forecast over the coming days.
There were a number of gorse fires in Donegal in the past week with the ICSA is urging the public to do what they can to prevent gorse and forest fires.
The Association says farmers need to be vigilant too – ICSA Connaught/Ulster Vice President John Flynn says there are serious penalties if farmers break the rules:
