Euro 2012 fans urged not to take sickies

Employers are warning workers not to be tempted to ‘pull a sickie’ after Ireland’s Euro 2012 matches.
Many football fans are working up overtime to ensure they don’t miss a game – but bosses are concerned about staff failing to turn up for duty the days afterwards.
Ireland’s first game – which is against Croatia – takes place on June 10th, a Sunday.
But the second one – against Spain – falls on a Thursday (note – June 14th) and the next one – against Italy – is set to happen on a Monday June 18.
Director of the Small Firms Assoiciation Patricia Callan says it’s about being honest, and requesting annual leave if you’re planning a party:
