Gardai examine files at County House as part of expenses investigation

It’s reported this morning that gardai recently spent over two hours examining files in the offices of Donegal County Council.
The Donegal Democrat reports that some of the files were removed as part of the investigation, which is believed to centre on the expenses claims of one councillor.
Gardai are confirming that the investigation is continuing, but won’t comment on its nature.
