In what proved to be a good day for Gaelic football in the county, Donegals minors defeated Cavan 1-11 to 0-10 in the early game at Breffni Park on Sunday. In the process, the counties minors knocked out the reigning provincial champions and cemeneted their first Ulster Championshp win since 2008.
There were good preformances all around the park from Donegals young charges which saw Kilcar man Ryan McHugh crowned man of the match with an impressive all round display.
Donegal Manager Stephen Friel gave his reaction to Charlie Collins after the victory.
