Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Young People and Children Charlie McConalogue says if specific measures to tackle youth unemployment are not put in place, then emigration will continue to be a major issue.
The Donegal North East TD, who has just published a strategy document on the matter, says the current Government’s various job plans have all failed to address the specific issue of youth unemployment.
He says at present in Donegal, emigration is keeping the Live Register figures artificially low:
