Rory Kavanagh will captain Donegal for this weekend’s championship opener at Breffni Park.
The St Eunan’s man will make his 100th Donegal appearance on Sunday against Cavan. With Michael Murphy not available for the game managament have chosen Kavanagh to lead the team in defence of their Ulster title.
Speaking with Chris Mc Nulty, Rory is proud to reach the 100 mark but is also focused with the job at hand.
Along with Murphy, Eamon Mc Gee will not be available for the Cavan game due to a hamstring injury.
In the build up to Sunday there were also concerns on the likes of Karl Lacey and Neil Gallagher but both came through training on Wednesday night.
