Delaying Fiscal Treaty referendum would make ratification more likely – Harkin

North West MEP Marian Harkin says she believes if the referendum on the Fiscal Treaty is postponed, the government will have a better chance of getting it passed.
Ms Harkin called for the postponement in light of the recent change of president in France, and in particular the decision by the German Bundestag to defer its own ratification of the Treaty.
Describing herself as a reluctant Yes voter, Marion Harkin says she believes any changes that may be made as a result of the French and German debates will be for the better and may make the treaty more palatable for people in Ireland………
