An Inishowen Councillor has described the sentences handed out to two Derry men who robbed a service station in Muff as nothing more than a slap on the wrist.
Steve Smith, 22, from 32 Bradley Way, Derry and Mark Villa, 18, from 75 Marianus Park, Hazelbank Derry pleaded guilty to robbery at Carndonagh District Court.
A defence solicitor said they were high on drugs at the time of the incident and had little recollection of it.
Local Councillor Mickey Doherty said the punishment does not fit the crime:
