Culbert defends FF record on support for rural Ireland

A Fianna Fail Town Cllr came in for criticism from his fellow members last night when he put forward a motion calling on Letterkenny Town Council to show it’s concern as the current government continues to attack rural Ireland.
The Mayor of Letterkenny, Cllr Gerry McMonagle claimed that Cllr Tadgh Culbert had some neck on him, as it was his own party who started the closing down of rural Ireland.
And Fine Gael Cllr Jimmy Kavanagh said such a motion coming from a Fianna Fail member was hypocritical.
But Cllr Tadgh Culbert hit back at the claims, and he said Fianna Fail has always supported rural Ireland…
