26-year-old man shot in punishment style attack in Strabane

Police in Strabane are appealing for information after a 26-year-old man was shot in a punishment style attack in the town last night.

A number of masked men entered a house in Carlton Drive last night at around 1030pm. The mans girlfriend and her daughter were in the house at the time.

They assaulted the man before shooting him in the leg, he was taken to Altnegelvin Hospital were his injuries are said not to be life threatening.

It is understood the men made off in a red car which was later found burnt out in the Prospect Road area.
