Donegal County Cllr Paul Canning says this is simply another cost cutting measure by the Irish government.
He says if the Education Minister goes ahead with this proposal then it will result in the closure of every rural school along the border in Donegal.
Cllr Canning says it will result in people from towns like Lifford and Carrigans going to schools across the border….
