It has been confirmed that a minor eathquake struck Donegal last evening.
A number of people reported hearing an event shortly before midnight in the north of the county.
The British Geological Survey confirms that their equipment in Buncrana and Antrim recorded a magnitude 1.1 earthquake shortly before 10pm.
The quake’s measured depth was 3km, which is considered rather shallow.
