GAA – McGuinness Looking To Take Lesson From Kerry Defeat

Kerry produced a superb performance in Killarney to comfortably beat Donegal  2-16 to 2-8 on Sunday and move to the top of Division I of the National Football League. It was Donegal who made the brighter start and were 0-3 to 0-0 ahead early on but Kerry soon got into their stride. Bryan Sheehan hit 1-7 for the Kingdom in an outstanding display of ball striking, and it was his penalty 30 seconds into the second half which put the home side eight clear and beyond the reach of Jim McGuinness’s side. Donegal continued to battle and scored a penalty of their own courtesy of the outstanding Michael Murphy midway through the second half but they were never really able to get close enough to Kerry to put the result in any doubt. Donegal are now mixed in a relegation battle and they need victories to stay in Division I.
Speaking with Charlie Collins after the game Jim Mc Guinness is looking for his players to learn from the defeat and bounce back for the Mayo game.
