Soccer – Devine Expecting Difficult Start Against Bohs

Derry City start life in the Airticity League Premier Division under Declan Devine with a home tie on Friday against Bohemians - who are also under new management. Just like Derry, Aaron Callaghan’s Bohs have also had a good pre season by winning their opening matches in the Setanta Cup. Derry will be without the services of Kevin Deery and Mark Farren for the Brandywell tie. The midfielder could be out for up to three weeks with a calf injury while Farren has a leg issue.  Strabane’s Rory Patterson who joined from Linfield and who has already scored a hat trick for the Candystrips in the Setanta Cup will be looking the kick start his league campaign tonight also. Kick Off at the Brandywell 7:45.

Derry’s new manager Declan Devine is pleased with how pre-season went and expecting a difficult game tonight .
