Live register decrease hides real extent of problem – Doherty

Donegal South West Deputy Pearse Doherty says while the government talks a lot about job creation, there's no evidence that it is doing anything to address the issue.

Commenting on Live Register figures which show a fall in the number signing on in Donegal at the end of last month, Deputy Doherty said were it not for emigration, the figure would be higher.

There were 21,567 people signing on in the county at the end of January, just 268 doown on January 2011.

Deputy Doherty says the figures are skewed because of emigration.........
