IMPACT says public sector retirements will be managed under Croke Park

A representative from the IMPACT trade union says front line services should not be affected by the public sector retirement scheme.
Around 8,000 civil and public servants have opted to retire under the plan – prompting fears that front line services will suffer. Locally, IMPACT are set to hold a series of meetings with senior HSE managers in Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim to discuss how gaps are to be managed.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny has already warned this will have to be done within the terms of the Croke Park Agreement.
Bernard Harbour of IMPACT agrees………..
