Funeral of Willie Mc Keeney taking place in Malin

The funeral is taking place this morning of Willie McKeeney, Drimdoo, Malin Head.
The 57 year old died in hospital after he was attacked in Glasgow in the middle of January. Two people have been charged with his murder.
He’ll be buried after 11 o’clock requiem mass in St Mary’s Church, Lagg, Malin.
Mr McKeeney  was attacked in Melville Street, in the Pollokshields area of Glasgow, at around 12.40am on Sunday January 15th as he walked home from a night out.
Mr McKeeney was taken by ambulance to the Victoria Infirmary, where he died from his injuries.
Five days later, two men appeared in court charged with Mr Mc Keeney’s murder.
20 year-old Asif Rehman and 19 year-old Adil Ishaq, both from Glasgow, were remanded in custody at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
