Letterkenny could be set for biking tourism project – Mc Hugh

Donegal North East Deputy Joe Mc Hugh says he believes a major tourism project could shortly be announced for Letterkenny.

In a message to party members, he says he is confident that in the coming weeks, a forestry site close to Letterkenny will be confirmed by Coillte as a centre for off-road biking tourism.

He says off-road mountain biking is an increasingly popular tourism pursuit in northern Europe, and is especially popular in Northern Ireland.

Deputy McHugh says support from tourism bodies is important if the plans are to come off:
