Inishowen’s two TDs are urging Failte Ireland to ensure that a self drive tourism initiative being planned for the Western Seaboard incorporates the peninsula.
Last week, Failte Ireland unveiled plans for the “Wild Atlantic Drive”, a self drive route stretching from Sliabh League to West Cork.
Now, Sinn Fein Deputy Padraig Mac Lochlainn has written to Failte Ireland suggesting the promotion be extended to Derry City,which would being in then the “Inishowen 100”, Letterkenny, the “Atlantic Drive” around the Fanad and Rosguill peninsulas.
Fianna Fail Deputy Charlie Mc Conalogue says the initiative should start at Malin Head.
In his letter to Failte Ireland, Deputy Mac Lochlainn says starting such an initiative in South West Donegal would miss much of what the county has to offer……
