Dodge owners reject suggestions gardai closed nightclub

The Dodge Nightclub in Gweedore has issued a brief statement rejecting claims that the venue was closed by gardai because it doesn’t hold a current liquor licence.
There was anger locally when revellers were informed last night shortly after 12.30am, that the night club was being closed and they would have to leave.
It has been reported that Gardai were seen entering the premises in Gweedore shortly before the nightclub was closed. The owners of the nightclub says the decision to close the venue was due to an electrical fault and not, as some claim, because they do not hold a current liquor license.
In a statement the club owners say they wish to set the record straight to quell rumors and ‘inaccurate news reports’ on certain websites.
They says The Dodge Nightclub DOES hold an up to date license and everybody that paid into the Dodge last night between 12am-12.30am we’re refunded their admission fee to the best of management’s knowledge.
They also apologize for any inconvenience caused to their  patrons and say a full statement will be issued tomorrow on the above matter.
