All clinics at Letterkenny General Hospital cancelled after extremely busy night

All Outpatient Clinics have been cancelled at Letterkenny General Hospital this morning after what’s been described as unprecedented numbers attending A&E overnight.
The 20 bed overflow ward is full, with twelve patients now being accommodated in Outpatient department, while there are seven patients on trolleys in casualty.
As a result, the medical clinics of Dr Swinson, Dr Constatine, Dr Abraham, Dr McKenna and Dr Keating have been cancelled.
Patients due to attend clinics will be notified of any changes to their appointments.
People are being urged not to attend A&E unless it’s an emergency.
