The figures printed in today’s newspapers are those that where furnished following a freedom on information request by the newspaper.
They show Mr Hannigan’s income for 2010 at 266, 773 euro and that seven other members of staff at the institute earned between 100 and 110 thousand euro in 2010.
The information also revealed that senior lecturers at the college were paid between 82 and 104 thousand euro last year.
As it related to the figure provided for his income, Paul Hannigan released a statement this morning.
He says the claim made regarding the salary paid to him as President of Letterkenny Institute of Technology, is factually incorrect and grossly over inflated regarding the amount stated.
