Emergency funding approved to remove asbestos from PCC Falcarragh

Emergency funding has been secured to remove asbestos tiles from PCC in Falcarragh.
The asbestos was discovered in the Schools Gym Hall and Store.
In Ireland asbestos, which is potentially deadly,  was used by the building industry until 1980, although the importation and use of asbestos wasn’t banned until1999
Following representations he made, Senator Brian O’Domhnaill has confirmed that the Department of Education & Skills has approved emergency funding, for the removal of asbestos tiles, by P.C.C. Falcarragh in the Schools Gym Hall and Store.
