Sinn Fein letter shows extent of Enda Kenny u-turn on A5 project

There has been an angry response to the Government’s decision to postpone its commitment to fund the upgrading of the A5
The proposed A5 dual-carriageway was to run from the border near Aughnacloy through Omagh and Strabane to Derry.
Ireland’s commitment was 400 hundred million pounds to be match by the executive in the north.
It is expected that the First and Deputy First Ministers of Northern Ireland will later question the decision with suggestions that it is a clear breach of a signed agreement.
Enda Kenny had previously given his full support to the project – this is a letter he sent the MP Pat Doherty clearing up concerns just last December.
