It’s emerged that Pramerica Managing Director is heading up a new committee seeking donations for the construction of a €4 million Medical Education and Research facility at Letterkenny General Hospital.
40 medical students from Galway who are based at Letterkenny General as part of a strategic link up between the hospital and NUIG. The iniative has been at the planning stage for several years, and was formally launched in January with the first 20 students coming to Letterkenny. 20 more have now started this month.
Breast Surgeon Mr. Michael Sugrue is closely involved in the initiative, he says it’s been a very successful project up to now, and it’s time to move on to the next stage, the provision of a dedicated unit……..
