A Strabane Sinn Fein Councillor has hit out at the PSNI in the town for their ‘cynical policing’ in the Head of the Town area over the past week.
Cllr Jay McCauley said that there was a heavy police presence in the area, especially over the weekend, even though there was no reported trouble.
He said that the presence of so many police land-rovers in the area inevitably led to young people throwing missiles.
