Northwest MEP to host meetings on new septic tank charges

Planned legislation on septic tanks will be discussed at a series of public meetings this week.

Up to half a million rural dwellers could be affected if the government decides to introduce mandatory inspections for septic tanks.

It's reported that registration fees of up to 300 euro for each household could be imposed when the legislation is put forward this autumn.
