Donegal’s Road Safety Officer responds to safety proposals

Donegal’s Road Safety officer has questioned how effective proposals to make driving instruction compulsory in schools would be in making Irish roads safer.
That was one of the proposals the cross party road safety Oireachtas committee suggested to Transport Minister Leo Varadkar in its submission on new road traffic laws.
However Donegal’s Road Safety Officer Eamon Brown says the education of pedestrians and cyclists in schools would be more beneficial:
