Funding confirmed for Twin Towns swimming pool

It's been confirmed that the Twin Towns are to get a muiltimillion euro grant  for the proposed new swimming pool at the Finn Valley Centre.

A grant of €3.8 million has been approved for the Stranorlar project.

The work proposed includes a 25m x 5m lane swimming pool, children’s pool, plunge pool, changing facilities, sauna and steam rooms and family social area.

Building work is expected to get underway in the Autumn.

Cllr Frank McBreaty also welcomed the funding, and he said it would put an end to the project being used as a political football during local and general elections.....
