Files being prepared for DPP after Letterkenny drug arrests

Gardai in Letterkenny have confirmed that two people arrested following drug finds on Friday evening have been freed pending files to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Gardai have confirmed that two small drug finds were made on Friday night in Letterkenny as part of an ongoing surveillance operation.
The first seizure happened when a car in which a man and woman were travelling was stopped at Rowan Park on the outskirts of the town. Small quantities of cocaine and cannabis were found in a subsequent search.
A short time later, there was a raid at James Larkin Court in the Oldtown area. Again, a small quantity of drugs was recovered.
Gardai have confirmed to Highland Radio News that two people were arrested as a result of the two searches, which were linked.
They have since been released, and files are being prepared for the DPP.
