GAA – Tyrone into Qualifier Rd3

Tyrone came good in the second half on Saturday night at Pearse Park to see off Longford 1-17 to 0-15 and progress into round three of the All-Ireland qualifiers. Having trailed 0-8 v 0-7 at the break, the O Neill county regrouped making a dream start to the latter half with a 1-3 blitz in the opening five minutes to take control. Mark Donnelly finished off a move involving Philip Jordan, Martin Penrose and Kyle Coney for the only goal of the game. Peter Harte’s contribution of 7pts helped his side to a place in the next round against the winners of Armagh or Wicklow.
