Donegal farmers welcome “frank exchange” with minister

The IFA ‘s Donegal Chairperson says Agriculture Minister Simon Coveney is a man with whom the IFA can do business.
PJ Mc Monagle was speaking after a meeting with the minister at the weekend.
He accepts that Mr Coveney is doing his best to secure some financial help for farmers who have suffered as a result of the recent gorse fires in Donegal, but  says the minister and the government need to do more to offer a proper replacement for the REPS scheme.
He says they had a frank exchange of views, and there’s more talking to come……….
