Gardai appeal to landowners along Foyle and Finn to check for missing 22-year-old

Gardai are appealing for information from the public on the wherebouts of missing 22-year-old David Colhoun from Lifford.

Mr Colhoun escaped from PSNI custody in Strabane in the early hours of Sunday morning and hasn't been seen since.

Gardai confirmed that there is no evidence that the 22-year-old went into the river, but it is a possibility that he may have tried to cross it in his panic.

Superintendant Vincient O'Brien is appealing for landowners who have land adjoining the River Finn and Foyle to check there land every morning......
