Soccer – Derry sit top of Premier Division

Derry City have moved to the top of the League of Ireland Premier Division after Friday nights 4-1 away win against Galway Utd.Just before half time Eamon Zayed put Derry in front at Terryland Park. Within one minute of the restart James Mc Clean gave the Candystrips a 2-0 advantage. Galway pulled one back on 49 minutes before Derry finished of the home side with another goal from Mc Clean and a fourth coming from Gareth Mc Glynn. That is now two weekends in a row that Zayed and McGlynn have scored. With Shamrock Rovers and Sligo Rovers drawing their games, Derry make it a three way tie at the top with all side’s on 14points
