Rugby – Letterkenny in Gordon West Cup Final

Letterkenny are hoping it will be fifth time lucky this Saturday in the Gordon West Cup final at Ravenhill in Belfast.  The Donegal club lost out in the 2010, 2008, 2005 and 2003 deciders at the home of Ulster rugby. The opposition this year is Larne, the club Letterkenny lost to in the 2005 final. On route to the 2011 final Letterkenny came through the groups stages undefeated and booked their place in the final with victory in the semi final against the PSNI. The only injury concern for Letterkenny is centre Andrew Gibson who is rated extremely doubtful for the game. The side on Saturday will be captained by scrum half Damien Williamson. Both sides this season are also chasing league and cup doubles.
