GAA – Harte dismisses Jordan retirement

Tyrone manager Mickey Harte says there is no truth in the speculation that Philip Jordan has retired from inter county football. Jordan, a four time All Star made his first appearance of the season as a substitute in last Sundays league win over Kildare. He had just recently returned to full training after undergoing surgery on a hip problem. On Tuesday reports were suggesting the Moy clubman was set to quit playing for his county and later that evening he failed to attend training with the Tyrone squad.
Mickey Harte insists that the reports were just internet gossip. Speaking with the Irish Examiner Harte says “That’s not true, It’s an internet thing at the minute, there’s no other story to it. He’s fit and ready to go next weekend.”
