Derry City moved into tied 3rd place in the Premier Division of the League of Ireland after Friday’s 2-1 away win at Bray Wanderers. Daniel Lafferty gave the Candystrips the lead on 24 minutes with a header at the back post. Bray were level at the break after an equalizer from Jake Kelly. The winning goal for Derry came 16 minutes from the end. James Mc Clean gave Derry the points with another headed goal. The victory was their second of the season and moves the club onto 8 points in joint third place with Bohemians. Sligo are second on 10 with defending champions Shamrock Rovers leading the way on 13 points.
