It finished all square on the opening night of the season at Finn Park with Harps who lead twice in the game having to settle for a share of the spoils. Captain Kevin Mc Hugh put the Donegal side one in front with just four minutes on the clock. Steven O Flynn equalized on 23 minutes but new signing Gareth Harkin restored the advantage for Harps on 36. The visitors were back level on 67 minutes thanks to a Paudie Quinn goal. Both sides ended the game with ten men with Mark Forker and Stephen O’Flynn each receiving their marching orders. Harps also handed debuts to Conor O’Grady and Paddy McLaughlin while Ciaran Coll made his first competitive start in nearly fourteen months. Harps are away to Athlone Town in their next match on Saturday 12th March.
