Derry’s Daniel “Pinta” Quigley became the first Irishman to win the ISKA World Heavyweight title on Saturday night. In St. Columbs Hall, Derry Quigley was the dominate force winning each of the 12 rounds against French Champion Pacome Issa. The Pt’s Kickboxing Gym member now holds two world titles, having previous won the World Cruiserweight belt. Also on the bill was Irish Champion Aidan Lafferty, who beat Steve Freeman from England to take the Commonwealth Light Middleweight title. That fight ended in the third round when the English man pulled out injured. On the under cards were double world champion Tommy Mc Cafferty and ladies European champion Natalie Mc Carron. The awesome McCafferty stopped his opponent at the end of the 2nd round. Unfortunately McCarron withdrew from her contest with Andree Warbrich due to stomach pains.
